Update On NCAA Tournament – March Madness & CVOID-19

Overall there are now 164,689 cases of the novel coronavirus globally and counting, 6070 people have died, making the mortality rate just slightly higher than 3.73%. These numbers push the mortality rate in that country up to nearly 7%. The US has a mortality rate of around 3.4%, but this is largely due to the Washington State convalescent home where CoV-2 spread like wildfire, killing well over of the dozen elderly living there under assisted care. This way they could still keep the television deals going and give us fans something to watch from home.

This decision is based on the evolving CVOID-19 public health threat, our ability to ensure the events do not contribute to spread of the pandemic, and the impracticality of hosting such events at any time during this academic year given ongoing decisions by other entities,»A few of the things they are doing just doesn’t make much sense.
