Carroll County Hiking Trails for Training and Fitness

Adam Slatniske is discussing Carroll County, MD, and its scenic hiking trails. These trails are situated northwest of Baltimore, and the countryside is ideal for biking, horseback riding, and other fun outdoor activities or events.

For longer excursions, Union Mills offers 8 miles of trails that are open sunrise to sunset, from mid-February to the end of August. Patapsco Valley State Park also offers 8 miles worth of multi-use trails. Pathways in Carroll County may be closed during specific times of the year, based on the seasons, hunting, or maintenance activities.
